Nancy McAnuff joined Van Kampen Law in 2014 as Senior Paralegal and Office Administrator/Manager. Nancy has over two decades of administrative, management and legal experience. She graduated from the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies. Her legal experience has been concentrated on corporate law, commercial litigation, workers compensation and personal injury.

Nancy’s role as wife and mother makes her empathetic to the needs of others and has fine-tuned her ability to compromise, referee and negotiate fairness for others. Nancy’s experience and diversity establish her as a valuable member of Van Kampen Law’s already great and growing team.

Kaite Hagerman Charlotte Paralegal

Katie Hagerman


Katie Hagerman joined Van Kampen Law in August 2020 as an Associate Attorney. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Legal Fellow at the University of Georgia’s Equal Opportunity Office (EOO) in Athens, Georgia. While at the EOO, Katie worked to ensure University compliance with all state and federal laws regarding harassment and discrimination on the basis of race, sex, ethnicity or national origin, religion, age, genetic information, disability or veteran status. She also trained and advised University faculty, staff and students on Title VI, Title VII and Title IX laws.

Katie’s other legal experience includes working full-time with the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of the Solicitor during her last semester of law school. While at the DOL, she helped litigate cases arising from both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Wage and Hour Division. She was also a summer associate at a national management-side labor and employment law firm and interned with the in-house counsel for two major companies. Katie’s broad experience in labor and employment law allows her to bring a well-rounded approach to plaintiff-side representation.

Katie grew up in Metro Atlanta, Georgia and graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Katie’s passion to serve her community began as a mentor and tutor for English as a Second Language (ESL) students and continued as a member of University Judiciary. Today, she directs that passion towards the advocacy and representation of her clients. Katie enjoys traveling, camping and playing golf with family and friends in her free time.

Josephine Paralegal NC Employment Attorney

Josephine DiCenzo


Josephine joined Van Kampen Law in February 2020 as an Intake Specialist, and her current role at the firm includes paralegal work and managing the firm’s social media and marketing. While Josephine plans on pursuing a career in law, she is committed to supporting the firm’s clients and attorneys alike.

Josephine graduated from the University of Maryland in May of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Prior to joining the firm Josephine had a career in the fitness industry that included opening and managing gyms in many states across the U.S. Josephine enjoys many physical and outdoor endeavors. During the spring and summer, she spends weekends camping, hiking, or surfing. During the winter, snowboarding is her choice of activity.
